Jarryd Evans

Youth Pastor

Jarryd Evans was born in San Angelo, Texas, but spent his early childhood in Menard, TX.  After a few moves, his family settled in Brown County in 2009. Soon after moving to Bangs, Jarryd and his family started attending the First Baptist Church in Bangs where Jarryd and his siblings became very involved in the activities at the church. After graduating high school in 2017, he attended Howard Payne University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry.

While at college he worked as the youth minister and worship leader at First Baptist Church Lake Brownwood. In the spring of 2022,  Jarryd accepted the position of youth minister here at FBC Bangs – his home church.

Jarryd enjoys doing woodworking in his spare time. He has built a variety of projects, including home décor and furniture.

In 2019, he married to his high school sweetheart, Brittney. They now have two precious children, Liam and London Jo. His family makes his life rich and full.
